TAXI.RIO - Passageiro 4.1.5

The TAXI.RIO app is a urban mobility application provided by the Rio de Janeiro City Hall, ensuring quality and safety for taxi service users.

With TAXI.RIO, you can now request rides from a fleet specifically selected for being compliant with all registration requirements, having up-to-date certifications and inspections, and a clean record with the judicial authorities.

You have the option to choose from different discounts and availability according to your convenience. The fare amount is clearly displayed, without any hidden fees.

All of this is done using the technologies you already know, with the security that only TAXI.RIO can offer as a regulatory body.

Important: In the second version, in-app credit card payment will be available. For this, the City Hall is also establishing an unprecedented business model for the public market, allowing card payments to reach taxi drivers directly without going through public accounts.

TAXI.RIO currently offers:
- Registration of taxi drivers validated by the Municipal Transportation Department.
- View of nearby taxis at the time of request.
- Service selection based on discount range.
- Taxi request based on proximity.
- Confirmation of request with taxi driver's identification (photo, model, and license plate) and estimated arrival time.
- Tracking of taxi route to pick-up or destination location.
- Visualization of route and real-time estimated time of arrival (with live traffic information).
- Fare breakdown (total fare, discounts, starting fee).
- Driver rating.
- Ride history (on website).
